Comment. This picture takes in the northern part of the expedition area where the Cave of the Column was later identified. Wadi Jaufat Zabin is just west of present day Qalya kibbutz. An interesting channel is shown leading to the front of the image which looks as if it may have built up walls. This is marked also on Ziegler’s plan. The picture just manages to take in the area of 11Q on the far right side but the image is slightly blurred at this point. In this section of the hills cave GQ11 is also located.

This picture was published in Humbert and Chambon (1994: 203, Fig. 414) but with a completely wrong caption: ‘Extremité sud-ouest de la falaise’.
